Extended Day
Canterbury’s Extended Day program provides a supportive and flexible option for families at the close of the school day, with care available until 6:00 p.m. Students enjoy a balance of structured activities and free time, along with opportunities to connect with friends across grade levels in a familiar, engaging environment.
The daily schedule includes snack time and quiet time for homework or reading, helping students transition smoothly from the academic day. Extended Day staff also coordinate with Cougar Quest and Athletics, ensuring students are safely escorted to and from enrichment activities, lessons, and clubs.
The program serves students from Cubs through 8th grade, with groupings designed to support age-appropriate experiences. Families may choose from 3-day or 5-day options, with additional care sometimes available on conference days. Limited drop-in availability may be arranged through the Auxiliary Program Coordinator, Keir Durham.
