Welcome to Canterbury School! We are so excited that you have chosen Canterbury to be your family’s school home. You and your children will become integral members of the caring, supportive community that characterizes our school. We can hardly wait to see you on campus in August. In the meantime, you may have questions about preparing your child for the school year. Here are some resources to help you get started.

School Supplies

School Supplies

Each family is asked to provide school supplies for their child(ren). The Canterbury Parents’ Association (CPA) has partnered with School Tool Box so that you can simply order a box of supplies to be delivered either to the classroom or to your home. To order, visit the School Tool Box website and look for the box assigned to your child’s grade level.

School Tool Box Deadlines: Orders placed before June 22 will be delivered directly to your child’s classroom prior to the start of the school year. Supplies ordered after June 22 will be shipped to your home. Ordering is open until June 22.

You may also choose to purchase school supplies yourself and send them with your child on the first day of school; please refer to the School Tool Box website for supply lists per grade level.

Families should provide their own backpacks from home. We recommend getting a bag no smaller than 16"H x 13"W x 7¼".

  • Our goal is to foster independence by taking care of personal belongings. So, the roomier the bag, the easier it will be for your child to independently pack and unpack their belongings and be able to zip and unzip the bag.
  • It will need to fit a lunchbox, water bottle, and snack, along with a folder and library book.
